Welcoming 2019!

2019

Happy New Year!

New Year Resolutions:

I haven’t really thought about what my New Year Resolution is. I know you’re supposed to have it figured out before the New Year begins, but I feel like the month of January should be a month to figure out what you’re going to work on for the rest of the year. I think one of my resolutions is to keep myself in check throughout the year with my planner/ bullet journal. I am going to be spending the rest of today working on my bullet journal for the month. I’m hoping that if I do it out the whole way today then I have no excuse to not use it.

Another resolution is to be healthy. The past couple of days I’ve felt terrible health wise and I know it’s because I’m not exercising regularly and eating the best kinds of food. I’m hoping to be able to explore my new city and take advantage of the surrounding nature and get myself outside more.

What’s been going on and what’s to come:

The days leading up to the end of 2018, I worked (in between visiting family and friends)  furiously to meet my 20K word goal on my novella. I’ve now sent it off to my editor who will hopefully find minimal things that need to be fixed. I’ve already had my husband look it over for the first round and he found some things that I quickly tweaked before sending it out.

I’ve already posted about my goals for 2019, if you haven’t read it yet, you can check it out. Even though I want to still continue this blog and writing full-time, I’ve become aware that it’s not working out in my best interest financially. So, I’m going to be looking for part-time work and keep writing part-time. I might not be able to post my shorts and blog posts as regularly as I’ve been doing last year, but they will be written!

Going back to work will also help me be able to afford to self-publish my novella and anthology. I can’t wait to put everything together! I’ve slowly been formatting my anthology. I’m getting anxious and want to just publish it now, but I know good things comes to those who wait… 😉

In the meantime, if you have the means to help while I find work please feel free to check out the support me section of this blog! I’m forever grateful for the contributions I’ve received so far and it’s kept this blog alive for another year!

I’m going to be working on another WIP blog post to come out either this week or next week! I am also working on a couple writing prompts. So keep an eye out for them.

Thank you for following along in 2018 and I can’t wait for you all to continue with my adventure in 2019.

Thanks for reading!
